Liga MX Soccer Match

This clash of Liga MX first-division titans continues Latin Entertainments tradition of providing world-class soccer to the region.  The last Mexican League match played in Stockton was back in June of 2004 when Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) faced UNAM (Pumas)

León - is based in the city of León, in the state of Guanajuato. They scored 80 goals last season beating the world record.  León has won the Primera División title seven times: in 1948, 1949, 1952, 1956, 1992, Apertura 2013 and most recently Clausura 2014. They became the first Mexican "Campeonísimo" (winner of the League and the México Cup in the same year) in 1949. In 1993 León was the CONCACAF Champions' Cup runner-up, losing the final match against Costa Rican team Deportivo Saprissa, in one of the greatest upsets among the defeats in the club's history. They are also only the second Liga MX team to win back-to-back championships in short tournaments.  In addition among the players on the roster, León, has 3 players from the Mexican National Team, Luis “Chapo” Montes, José Juan “Gallito” Vásquez and Carlos “Guillit” Peña.

Atlas - is one of three teams that play in Guadalajara, Mexico, with Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) and Club Universidad de Guadalajara (Leones Negros) in the Liga MX. The club's home stadium is Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara.  Atlas fans are as a whole collectively known as La Fiel (The Faithful), while the La Barra 51 is the main organized supporter group. La Barra 51's name recalls Atlas' last and only championship in the Primera División de México in 1951. Atlas is currently playing in the prestigious Copa Libertadores de America.  Atlas has on its squad National Team player Enrique Perez and US National Team member Edgar Castillo.
